Ballet Victoria Legacy Fund
Your donation to the Ballet Victoria Legacy Fund will always be applied towards the area of greatest need. Each year, we apply for government grants to match the donations to this Fund, allowing us to increase the size of the endowment.
Contribution to this Legacy Fund can be made on an ongoing basis and a tax receipt will be issued by Ballet Victoria for the full amount of the donation. The fund is hosted by the Victoria Foundation and will be held in perpetuity.
The Rosemarie Liscum Legacy Fund for Ballet Victoria
Ballet Victoria established the Rosemarie Liscum Legacy Fund in June 2021 to honour the President of the BV Board of Directors from 2008 to 2021, Rosemarie Liscum, who passed away in Victoria, BC in April 2021.
Each season, BV awards funds to one or more deserving emerging artist(s) to support their development in dance. The BV Artistic Director selects the recipient(s) each season based on merit, looking for dancers who demonstrate qualities Rosemarie was known for: passion, empathy, hard work, dedication, humour, generosity, humility, and kindness.

The Annamaria Bamji Award for Emerging Ballet Dancers
The Annamaria Bamji Award for Emerging Ballet Dancers was established in 2024 by Dr. Pervez (Perry) Bamji in memory of his wife Annamaria to encourage a Ballet Victoria Dancer interested in making Ballet Dancing a career. This scholarship for BV dancers is to commemorate, for posterity, Annamaria’s passion for Ballet Dancing
This award funds one emerging dancer with an outstanding promising ability and dedication to the artform to encourage the awardee to make Ballet dancing a career. The BV Artistic Director selects the recipient each year based on passion, hard work, kindness, ability, inspiration, and generosity. Qualities that Annamaria shared and valued in others
